NFL Super Bowl Squares Sheet

TRADITIONAL SUPER BOWL SQUARES SHEET WITH NUMBERS PRE-FILLED

The NFL Super Bowl squares sheets included in this download has a traditional squares sheet with the numbers entered on the axis, a traditional sheet without the numbers and a digital root square sheet. The digital root sheet gives a more equal chance of winning per square versus the traditional sheet.

Instructions:

Assign each team to an axis. Sell the squares or the blocks of squares to the participants. Once all the squares are sold then randomly assign the numbers 0 through 9 to the x-axis and the y-axis. After each quarter of the super bowl take the last digit of each teams score and find the intersecting square on the sheet. The owner of that square wins the money set aside for that quarter.

For a more equal chance for each square to win:

Use the Digital Root Squares Sheet to give each participant a more equal chance to win regardless of what square they draw. To use this sheet at the end of each quarter add the numbers together of each teams score then find the intersecting square for the winner. If the sum of a team's score is two digits add those digits to get a singe digit. With this sheet you combine the 9 and 0 into one column/row. This results in a sheet with 81 squares as opposed to the traditional 100 squares. See the table below (taken from mathgoespop.com) for the distribution of the likeliness of a particular number to hit in a superbowl squares game.

Background numbers

The background numbers in the squares are to help participants communicate to you the squares they want to purchase. They look darker than they appear when you print the sheet. Alternatively I also have included the sheets without the background numbers.

NFL Football Regular Season Office Pool Spreadsheet

January 27, 2020

THIS SHEET IS NO LONGER UPDATED. IT CAN BE USER UPDATED.

Use this Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to run an office pool for the 2012 NFL football regular season. This spreadsheet calculates the points for correct picks for your NFL office pool after you enter your participants picks and the weekly game results. It already has every game for the NFL regular season pre-entered. It also has a feature that allows for extra value points for picking 4 featured games per week. One can move different games to the featured pool without changing the functionality of the calculator. If one prefers not to have extra value points for the feature games then just change the award points to equal points for the regular games. Or if one wishes to award more points for the feature games this can be done as well. This NFL office pool spreadsheet is also available in Apple Numbers format (just click on the link to Apple downloads).

About Office Pool Spreadsheets

I hope you enjoy my office pool bracket calculators at bracketman.com. Feel free to leave any comments.

For some reason I love working with spreadsheets and want to share some of my favorites with you.  One of the most useful tools I have found for spreadsheets is helping to keep up with an office pool. The spreadsheets I have created aim to give some information on the teams that are participating to make it easier to make your picks without doing a lot of research. They also aim to make it easy to track the points of the participants and provide a ranking table that can be copied and pasted easily into an email for keeping participants updated on the leaders of the pool. When appropriate I have included a bracket for tournament style events which can be handed out or copied and pasted into a new document and subsequently emailed to participants for filling out their picks. I have also tried to make a second sheet that is physically smaller than the original sheet where picks are entered so that this smaller sheet can be printed and posted for viewing.  I hope you find the spreadsheets useful.
