UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE EXPLANATION

The UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) Champion’s League is an annual Single Elimination Soccer Tournament contested between the best teams across Europe. A kind of Super Bowl for Soccer except instead of 32 teams contesting the Super Bowl there are probably over a thousand teams competing for the UEFA Champions League trophy. Entry into the Champion’s League tournament is gained by the soccer club’s previous year’s/season’s performance. The lower class league’s champions enter the tournament lower in the bracket. The premier league’s champions enter the tournament at more advanced stages of the tournament. That is to say if it’s a round of 128 tournament then the lower tier teams enter the tournament in the round of 128 and the upper tier league teams feed into the tournament in the round of 32.
